Is this only available to couples who have a wedding booked with Chronicle Photography?

This offer is available to all couples. In fact, this is a great way to decide if you’d want to have me as your wedding photographer (Hint: you will!)

If you book me for this offer, you are only committing to an engagement shoot with me. Of course you may decide you love my work and absolutely have to have me shoot your wedding, but if not, simply take your prints and walk away.  I’ll be sad, but that’s ok – I like a good cry.

Of course.
When booking your shoot (Use the booking link above) you’ll be asked to choose a date, provide some details and pay the fee.

Once your booked, I’ll be in touch to choose a location – In studio or on location. I recommend on location for engagements, I think it’s more romantic.

We’ll meet at your chosen location and walk around looking for some good spots, We’ll chat and I’ll make some dad jokes. you’ll pretend to fins me funny.
When we are shooting, I’ll keep things super relaxed, putting you in the right spot with some very basic direction (look at each other, hold hands, etc.).
I’m all about letting your personality show so I don’t pose you like a Hello! magazine cover shoot.

All in, it take about 45 minutes to an hour.

You’ll then get an email to your gallery a few days later, where you and enjoy your photographs on the couch and choose your images for your mini book, stress free in your own time.

It’s depends on where you are and how far you can travel.

But as a general guide:

  • Beaches are fab. Sea, sand, and a better chance of a sunset. Best in Summer.
  • Woodlands or parks. Great options and there’s one near everyone. Ideal in Autumn.
  • Urban / Cities. Something different. Usually there is interesting architecture or art we can incorporate. Works well in the rain or at night too.
  • Fields or open natural spaces. Great for a rustic feel and often filled with pretty colours around Spring.
  • Castles and historic sites. You’re never far from one in Scotland and they offer some majestic backdrops.
  • Botanic Gardens are a great option in winter and as they’re often near cities, you can get two locations for one.
